A day in the life of Brittany

DAY 4 IS NOT A BORE!

I'm trying to keep track of how I am feeling every day with the lean eating! I feel AMAZING!!!!! I woke up a little weak this morning but my brain was wide wake and I FINALLY slept!!! Yay!!!!

I have been in the BEST moods too! Well with a little eye roll every now and then...but heck I'm at work what do you expect?? Now I see why all these skinny people that eat healthy are always so freaking happy! It really does make you feel amazing!!!!

On top of that I keep finding these amazing foods to eat that taste amazing and are still lean enough for me to eat....like Tuna Salad Salad... I just made it with light mayo, mustard and pickles and served it over my veggie filled salad and it is heavenly! Even though Mama Laughlin thinks it looks like vomit on a plate (she's a tuna-hater)! Then I also found this fast little dinner that you heat in the microwave...it is shredded chicken and you can add Frank's hot sauce (wing sauce) on it and have your own little buffalo wings! It is great! I'm going to try some on a salad tomorrow and see how that turns out!!!

It's super easy and makes you feel better than ever....why doesn't everyone eat like this!!!!

DAY 3

Well.....I would like to proudly admit I have made it to Day 3!!!! Yay!!!!! Being the total fat kid that I am I usually give up on any kind of diet after Day 2 but I made and I'm doing GREAT!!!!!! This isn't even like a diet! It is so different! It is just a different way of life and EXTREMELY easy!!!! I sometimes have to double check myself because I feel like I'm doing something wrong!!!!

I did wake up this morning really weak and I was shaky when I first got to work from the ketosis but after I had my protein shake it went away and I feel absolutely AMAZING!!!

I honestly feel like I'm floating through the air! I feel sooooo good!!! It is amazing how ridding all the bad foods out of your life how much better you actually do feel! And trust me I'm queen of the drive-thru or any bad food for that matter! And this is actually really easy to me! It just comes natural! And also I stay full! Which is a good thing because you know when you start feeling hungry that is when the fat girl brain starts pushing you to do bad things!!!!

I can't wait to weigh in and see my progress! I just hope it reflects how awesome I feel!

So I have decided to start this new caveman diet with my fellow blogger/bff Mama Laughlin!!! Well it isn't necessarily new....the website says it is 40,000 years old so I'm a bit late! But better late that never!!!

Anywho...I have made it through my first day and even though I was a tad bit hungry last night before I went to bed I just sucked it up and washed the hunger away with water!

I'm feeling AMAZING!!!! I feel better than I have in years!!! Of course I haven't fully had the effects of ketosis like I'm supposed to yet...but I'm preparing myself for its arrival! I'm a little nervous about it because I don't take feeling weak that great but I can do it!!!

I just know that I HAVE/NEED to do this and I'm going too!!! I haven't weighed myself since Sunday but I'm just going to wait and see how much comes off in a week! I was NOT happy with the number on the scale and I had to subtract a pound for the tears that were falling! haha

But I feel great today and I have great motivation to stay on track and I'm gonna knock this weight out off the ballpark! :)

2011 isn't quite what I was hoping for!

So! I haven't been on in a while but I'm back!
So I hate to open up the new year with such a Debbie Downer-ish title but it has come out that way for me so far! I got awakened with the horrible news on New Year's day that my cousin had passed away. She and I were so close as I was growing up and we were basically inseparable. I have lost touch with her over the past few years but yet it was still a gut wrenching heart break to go to her viewing and funeral and say my goodbyes. :(
Then my first day back to work after all that emotional drain, I get a stomach virus! NICE!! I am feeling a little bit better but I'm refusing to eat! Which in my case isn't such a bad idea!

Bringing me to that....I absolutely HATE all the new year's resolutions...the reasons being I always feel worse because I fill my head with all these great expectations I have for myself and then I don't follow through with them and I beat myself up because of that.

So I'm making some changes in stead. Starting first and foremost with my brain and my way of thinking. I'm not going to start any fad diets or force myself to hit the gym every day...I'm going to do this my way....after many years of being over weight and having that constant struggle i have learned that it is deeper than just me over eating or having an addiction to food....it stems from other problems. WAY too many to get into on here! :) So the more I focus on those issues and get those worked out the more I can focus on my body image and my obsession with food.

So wish me luck on my journey! :)

And I have high hopes for this year....maybe since I didn't get such a great start, it'll end up being fabulous! Keeping Positive!

GOTTA LOVE THOSE HOLIDAY WEEKENDS!

Well my holiday turned out to not be so bad after all.... even though I did comfort my pain with a little Thanksgiving wine! That always helps! The food was delicious and I got to see all of my cousins kids (she has 5 p.s.) and they are all cute as a button, then I got to hang out with my fam and go to the little bar Time Out in Forney for some fun family drinking time! haha Friday I didn't feel so hot! That just means I'm getting old! haha

Wednesday night we went to see Usher and Trey Sonz and it was an AMAZING concert! It was very....um...how should I put it.... sensual? Yeah that works I guess! hahaha It was great fun though!

So let me just skip past all that and get to the REALLY good stuff.... So for the past few months I have been looking for a new vacuum because mine just wasn't cutting it. I think it was making a bigger mess than it was helping. So I have been looking around EVERYWHERE!!! My thing was I wanted a good vacuum that didn't cost me a fortune. So I found the perfect vacuum I wanted at Walmart for $89.96...as perfect as it was for me and as much as I wanted it I just couldn't bring myself to paying that much for one. I mean it wouldn't be so bad if I had a 4 bedroom house and was having to vacuum all these rooms but this is for someone who lives in a 1 bedroom apt and has like two rooms to vacuum. And I'm cheap when it comes to stuff like that. I really didn't even want to spend $40 but I knew I was just going to have to break down and get a vacuum around that price. UNTIL a miracle happened!!! I went to Big Lots yesterday just looking around for some cheap little goodies when I came across my DREAM VACUUM... it was the same one for almost $90 that I had been longing for at Walmart and I looked at the sale tag hanging off the handle and it said $44!!!!! I almost fainted I couldn't go through the boxes fast enough trying to find it.....but sadly it wasn't there! :( But don't you worry! I took the display! The sales associate said I could have it and on top of that she gave me an extra 10% off for it being a display! I definitely came out on top here...I didn't have to assemble anything and I got that vacuum for $50 less than I would have if I would have purchased it when I first saw it!!! SCORE!!!!!!

So needless to say my apt is spotless right now! I cleaned EVERYTHING!!! It was greatness! Here is a pic of my new lifesavor! haha

SKANKSGIVING

Well I'm just going to be honest with everyone this is NOT one of my favorite days of the year.... reason being...yes I am thankful for so much in my life like my family and friends but what I am NOT thankful is having to share this special day with family members that I haven't seen in years for several reasons..
1. Because most of these people have been locked up (yes as in jail) for the past couple of years and I would rather not listen to prison stories while I'm trying to enjoy my turkey.
2. Because they live too far away and only call when they are low on cash. I can't wait to see will all try and hit me up tomorrow... I have news for them!
3. Because they used to live on the streets and now are residing in the trailer with family members #2 and I know this time of year you give to the less fortunate but this guy has been mooching off our family ever since he stole my grandma away from my granfather 48 years ago! Yep (too much?)
and 4. Because NO Uncle Bob your fat jokes don't get old they make me FEEL wonderful about myself thank you! (<-- Sarcasm)

But on a brighter note I do get to spend my Thanksgiving eve watching Usher and Trey Songz and get treated like royality and I get to spend time with my awesome brother and his wife tomorrow and we will just make the great escape once we get our bellies full so maybe it won't be so bad after!

I'M BAAAAACK!!!

I know all my 1 followers were so curious as to where I went but don't you worry ol faithful! I'm back!!!

Now that I figured out that I could get on this big guy at work I'm all about updating my blog! :)

So what is new do you ask? Well unfortunately absolutely nothing but hopefully that is about to change!

I'm always off and on in this whole dieting battle! But I'm ready to give it another shot! And I'm going to go into this with a total new outlook! I'm going to start off slowly and do things that I KNOW I need to be doing not necessarily that I HAVE to do! So as of today I have downloaded a new app on my droid to start counting my calories! I'm just starting this very slowly...because I know come Thursday it is on, Turkey!

Plus on Thursday my uncle with the jokes that he finds OH SO HILARIOUS but I find them completely rude and degrading will be there and so I'm sure there will be some emotionally eating involved! Womp Womp!

Anywho...I'm back to work now so hopefully I'll make a habit of this updating thing...it is pretty fun!

Snow White and her Seven Glorious days

Well not completely glorious but been lots of fun since my last blog-a-blog-blog-blog....Sorry I have been extremely hyper today and I'm not sure why....oh wait maybe it was because I slept till 12:30 today without waking up once! HOLLA!!! I haven't done that in ages! Also I awoke with an extremely positive outlook on my life and my weight loss and my being single!!! I finally broke down and bought my own scale! it is beautiful....only when it is turned off... haha!

This past week has been redunk....I got to leave work early on Thursday due to the weather and then we were actually closed on Friday which has never happened in DHAT history! It was pretty awesome! So Thursday my roomies and their significants and myself went to Campisi's right behind our house and it was BYOB so we brought in some brews and had dinner and then went home to a completely dark cold house (no electricity)! We kept warm by our gas stove top and a few more drinks and then I headed off to bed. The next day the snow was still think but the roads were too bad so Sara and I went to eat lunch at Hooters then home for a nap! Friday night I met a few friends at Rok Republic for a little bit then headed home! Saturday I had lunch with Tammy and then came home and got ready and went out to Downtown with Sara for some All Star weekend parties!! Let me just say this....it was scary!!! There were so many people out and cops everywhere and the traffic was horrible. We had a nice time at the bar then on our way home we saw a really bad wreck involving a big white diesel truck and a little white car and that jack A$$ driving the white truck (that ran the red light) did a hit and run!!! WHAT A JERK!!!!!!! Well that sure scared the bajeebies out of me so we headed home as fast but with much precautions as we could! Then today I woke up and went shopping at Bed Bath and Beyond with my income tax return money! Oh how great it feels to have lots of money! whoop whoop!
I got tons of stuff that I have been wanting! Like this amazing laptop work station for my bed! I can literally just sit here and be perfectly comfy while I play online!
Then I came home and cleaned my entire room and bathroom and did laundry and that my friends is the single girls Valentine's Day!!!! Don't be jealous! haha

F-F-FOR N-N-NEY

So I spent the weekend hanging out with my brother and Jill and Corey! It was pretty much a b-last! Friday night we went to Twin Peaks and had some fried pickles and a few "big boy" beers! It was a little disturbing because the girls were dressed in lingerie and one of the girls was pregnant walking around in a pink see-thru teddy! NO THANKS! Then we took the party back to Time Out (a little bar in Forney) and had a few more beers and then I came home around 12:30!

Then Saturday I laid around most of the morning and then met my brother and them for lunch at Pasados in Mesquite (ew) but it was pretty good! Then headed back home for some 20/20 on WE (I am in love with those mystery murder shows) and a little nappy! Then I met at my brother's house and we went to a HUGE party at this pretty amazing house in Forney and had some beers and everclear soaked cherries (whew those were stout) and my bro was about 10 sheets to the wind so we decided to make a video of him and then off to bed!

Sunday we laid around then went to my parent's house to watch the superbowl where I stuffed my face and got so tired I left early and came home to catch the end of the AMAZING win! haha SIKE I wasn't really interested but I did watch! And I was glad to see Nawlins win!

Then off to bed! I did start reading a pretty amazing book called "Ice Man" so I'm interested to see where it goes! The beginning is really good!

I was extremely exhausted this morning it is probably because of this crappy weather but I stuck it out and I left early to go shopping for my sister's bday and grocery shopping! So I have to make that time up but it was a huge success! I found the cutest little boots she wanted and I got lots of healthy groceries! YUMMY! haha

Anywho....guess that about wraps it up....ok Bloggies....stay classy! haha :)

The good, the bad and the just plain wrong!!!!!!!!

So I figured that to let some stress relief I would just blog...hey that's what it's here for right....So this weekend I learned A LOT about people or person or take it as you may but I realized that some people at no cost will take your happiness away to make theirs more complete...After a few days of hurt and pain and asking WHY WHY WHY over and over it finally hit me!!! I shouldn't be upset about this....I should take it as a complete compliment. You see jealousy and malicious back stabbing is lots of hard work....all to have what someone else has. But the thing is, you can never have the happiness that isn't forced that is just there and no one knows why...its a spark its a connection its a unexplainable bond and no matter all the bad things you say and all the manipulation you can never force that kind of thing.... I have pretty much for the majority of my life always been real, outspoken, opinionated but on the bright side I have always been loving, and caring and giving and would NEVER try and take someone's happiness even if I don't even know who you are....because I completely feel that if you take something that isn't yours that you will never be completely satisfied and never completely happy. And the best part is I can wake up every day knowing that I am a good person.... never purposely hurt people for the pure satisfaction of my own happiness and I know I will be repaid in a huge way for my good nature! I can't keep letting this people bring me down! I am holding my head high and standing tall and knowing that I AM A GOOD PERSON and that will make me sleep at night and know that I have a super bright future ahead of me!
So long suckas! hahaha
Whew I feel a hundred times better! I love being me!!! :)

Weekend of July 10-12 09

So Friday started off super early as I headed to NRH to tech which I haven't done in close to a year so I was super nervous but no worries because it all came back to be in a flash! I worked with a pretty amazing doctor who had me wheeze laughing and even taught me a few things! Holla! Then off work early and went home for a little naparooski (nap) then Sara and I got ready and headed to a lil HH at Houlihans!!! AWWW how I love it! Then we met up with King and Justin at Chaucers in Frisco for some sake and patron shots and then off to a super over crowded Zen bar in Addison Ranch...then home for a quick pass out! :) Saturday we went to Brandi's baby shower which was a super awesome time! I love getting to hang out with my Brand-man-hand! After a couple of hours filled with mini sandwiches and almost a whole pineapple, lots of laughs and presents we went to Sara's parents to play with the pups then off to the casa to shower and get ready yet again for another night out! This time to Forney for some UFC 100 partying and it was super a blast! Then home at 3AM wow that hurt then to bed! It was a pretty eventful/amazing weekend! Sunday was pretty lazy and we laid around watching movies, then a lil dip in the pool then some homemade burgers compliments of J Bryant! they were delish! then had a little hooka time and off to home for showers and sleep! I pretty much had a cheesy ass grin on my face all weekend! Stay tuned.....:)

I'll give it a whirl

Well I just thought I would try this out because I love to talk so this has to be a perfect place for me to get these thoughts out of my head! So I'm Brittany, I'm 27 (almost 28 :( )! I have had a pretty tough year thus far but I'm slowly but surely coming back around! Things are FINALLY starting to look up for me! I'm focusing more on myself and not worrying so much about other people's drama! I'm getting closer to some new friends that I share many commonalities with! It's exciting! I just had a pretty amazing 4th of July weekend ....actually i take that back it was SUPER amazing!!! Just living life and trying to not let the actions of people in my past effect the person I'm evolving into! I have loved and lost as many others have but I have learned things.....first and foremost people will always prove you wrong when you think you have them figured out! But that is ok....if you don't like who they really are the move on and find someone else that makes you completely happy! Even if it is only a friend! :)
